Grief Support for Organ, Eye, and Tissue Donor Families

Free, compassionate grief support for families navigating loss after donation, everywhere in the U.S.

You Don’t Have to Walk Through Grief Alone

Grieving the loss of a loved one is never easy, especially when that loss is tied to the selfless act of organ, eye, or tissue donation. Taylor’s Gift offers free, specialized grief support for donor families across the country. Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, we’re here to walk alongside you with care, compassion, and community.

Our grief support program is designed specifically for families of organ, eye, and tissue donors. Most donor families receive little or no grief support, and yet, their grief is deeply personal and complex. Taylor’s Gift created this program to ensure no donor family walks this journey alone. This support is free, confidential, and available no matter how long it’s been since your loss.

“The sudden loss of my husband, Chris was an earth-shattering event that shook our family to its core. We were deeply appreciative of his selfless act of organ donation, but I found myself lost in grief, uncertain of where to turn for support.

That’s when I was introduced to the Taylor‘s Gift Grief Support Program, a lifeline that I will forever be thankful for.”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTONS

6

Who can receive grief support?

1

We support organ, eye, and tissue donor families, as well as donor-in-spirit families, anywhere in the United States. All family members are welcome, and support is tailored to each person’s needs.

Is grief support free?

2

Yes. All services are completely free and confidential so that families can receive support without added stress or barriers.

What happens during the first call?

5

Is this faith-based?

What if I’m not ready for support yet?

3

That’s completely okay. Grief doesn’t follow a timeline. You can reach out whenever you feel ready, and if you’re already enrolled, we can pause services until the time feels right.

How is peer support different from therapy?

4

Peer support connects you with someone who has lived through similar loss and can sit with you in your grief. It’s not clinical therapy, but many families find it meaningful on its own or alongside other supports.

The first call is simply about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what life looks like right now and what kind of support might feel most helpful moving forward.

We follow your lead. If faith or spirituality is meaningful to you, we honor that. If it isn’t, you are still fully supported.

Support is free and available no matter how long it has been since your loss.
