The Pickle Breakers Team
Laura Maala
I am originally from Estonia, specifically from Ida-Viru County, in a small village called Voka. I graduated from Toila High School and further pursued my studies at TKTK College in Rakvere, where I earned a degree in accounting. In addition, I hold a Body Pump certificate. My sports journey began with cross-country skiing when I was 7 years old, and I skiied about 9 years. Following that, I played basketball and also participated in various races ranging from 1 to 10 kilometers. I have completed three half-marathons. In addition to these activities, I have a passion for various sports, including volleyball, swimming, roller skating, and disc golf and now also pickleball.
Currently, I live in Bismarck, North Dakota, and going to nursing school in Dickinson. About two years ago, I discovered pickleball and quickly became addicted to the game. It is a fun and engaging sport that provides me with a much-needed break from my nursing studies. Pickleball not only allows me to stay physically active but also helps me clear my mind, relieve stress and have fun.
I am passionate about setting a world record in pickleball because I love challenges and believe that when you set your mind to achieving something, you can accomplish it. The idea of setting a world record excites me as it combines my love for the sport with my drive to push my limits and achieve excellence. Setting a world record in pickleball would not only showcase my dedication and hard work but also serve as an inspiration for others to pursue their passions and reach for their own goals.
