  • Interim Board President - Elizabeth Hughes, PhD, TGF Grief Support Program Co-Founder & Chief Science Officer

Dr. Elizabeth Hughes is a clinical psychologist in Dallas, Texas. After receiving her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1994 she continued her training at Children’s Medical Center Dallas as a staff psychologist. While there she served as a consult liaison for the renal transplant team.

Throughout her career, she’s worked with individuals who struggle with chronic medical illness, eating disorders, emotional trauma, anxiety, and depression.

In 2019 she began working as a Family Care Coordinator for Southwest Transplant Alliance. In her work supporting families through the donation process, she discovered that grief support resources are limited for those left behind to honor and grieve their loved ones.

In 2021, she and Tara Storch, co-founder of Taylor's Gift Foundation, developed and launched the Taylor’s Gift Grief Support Program to ensure that no donor family ever grieves alone.

To further evaluate both the needs of donor families and the effectiveness of the current grief support program, Dr. Hughes has worked collaboratively with NYU Langone Health for 2+ years to assess how to best serve those who are grieving following organ and tissue donation.

  • Board Treasurer - Dana Pray, Principal, P&C Recruiting

Dana became a donor mom in January 2017 when her son, Jeston, had a fall in Plano, TX.

Dana and Tara met shortly after and found that the mission of Taylor’s Gift matched closely with her own passion for helping those managing grief following a sudden tragedy.

Dana served on the Taylor’s Gift Advisory Board for three years. She also serves on NYU Langone Health Transplant Institute Advisory Board and the Elko County, Nevada Boys & Girls Club Board.

The Pray Family runs the P4L Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports youth in the community as well as transplant donor and recipient families in need.

  • Co-Founder, Tara Storch, Interim Board Secretary

Tara is Co-Founder of Taylor’s Gift Foundation. Her passion for helping donor families in their grief came from her family’s personal experience. She has been involved in many organ donation-focused organizations such as being a current board member of the Organ Procurement Transplant Network (OPTN) Board. She has also had former involvement on the UNOS Philanthropy Advisory Council (UPAC), Advisory Board with Southwest Transplant Alliance, and was a Real Life Expert with Donate Life Hollywood.

Her experience as a donor mother and leadership expert in marketing and non-profit is regularly sought out by many in the business and medical community to speak at their events.

Tara is a mom of three, Taylor, Ryan and Peyton. She and her husband, Todd live in the Dallas area.

She is extremely proud of all the support being given to donor families in Taylor’s name.
