From Taylor’s Gift Foundation

We couldn’t think of a better way to kick off 2014 than recognizing an incredible volunteer like Marsha Skinner! Marsha has been involved with Taylor’s Gift Foundation for almost 2 years now and she is a true treasure to our team.

From day one, Marsha has exemplified a radiant passion for Taylor’s Gift. Volunteering her time, talent and treasure across multiple projects within the organization, we are beyond blessed by the work she’s done.

Marsha and husband Robert

When she first joined us she was serving on the committee for the 2012 Sporting Clay Tournament, one of the foundation’s biggest annual fundraisers. As time passed, she continued to help with other projects, including one of the foundation’s biggest milestones in April 2013: shipping Taylor Blue across the world.

Marsha eventually began helping with financial budgets for events and was even gracious enough to host a private fundraiser in her home; she currently serves as our volunteer CFO. Using her project management and financial background skills learned in the corporate world, she has become an invaluable resource.

Marsha is a talented individual, with writing being one of her many talents. In addition to helping write content for our blog, she also wrote Hope: A Courageous Journey of Faith, a 21-day devotional for YouVersion that references Taylor’s Gift: A Courageous Story of Giving Life and Renewing Hope, helping those who are seeking hope and inspiration.

A truly dedicated volunteer, she encouraged her whole family to get involved. Joining in the fun, the her family helps by serving on committees, attending events and helping spread awareness of the Taylor’s Gift mission.

Marsha has told us many times how much she has so enjoys doing “purpose-driven” work for Taylor’s Gift. We are so thankful for the gift that she is. Marsha – you are an inspiration to us and we are so grateful for your love, support and service! Thank YOU!

Taylor’s Gift wouldn’t be accomplishing all the amazing work that we do without our incredible volunteers! Please visit our Volunteer page to sign up, learn more and see all of our recognized volunteers!
